About Us
The Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference (VSPC) was established in 2000. This conference, when started, was operated under the APA Richmond Chapter. In 2009, the VSPC spun off into a separate stand-alone organization.
From inception, the organization had five affiliated chapters – APA Richmond Chapter, Hampton Roads Chapter, Colonial Capital Chapter, Shenandoah Valley Chapter and the Southwest Virginia Chapter. In 2010, the Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter affiliated with the VSPC and in 2011, The Charles Town West Virginia Chapter joined the VSPC. In 2020, the Shenandoah Valley Chapter did not reaffiliate with APA, leaving the VSPC with six affiliated chapters. For more information on our six affiliated chapters, please visit their websites.
The VSPC’s goal is to educate the Payroll Professional on current payroll legislation, trends, technology, and professional development. This education is accomplished through our annual conference with qualified speakers educating on topics that they have experience.
The VSPC travels the Commonwealth of Virginia to educate Payroll Professionals throughout the state and surrounding states. Visit our Past Conference Page to see where we have been and at the bottom of this page; you will see where we are going in the future.

Cancellation Policy
Due to our contractual obligations VSPC does not allow cancellations. However, we do allow for substitutions to the conference as long as the VSPC is notified within 3 days of the conference. To substitute a registrant, the current registrant has to complete the substitution form.
Transfers and Substitution Registrations
The VSPC welcomes registration transfers and substitutions, however, there is a $50 dollar charge for processing the registration. This transfer or substitution can be processed through the Attendees Registration page.
Replacement RCH Letters
The VSPC will research and replace any lost RCH letters from prior years for a cost of $25 per year. To request an RCH letter, send an email to [email protected]. Payment must be received before research will begin. You may pay online in our RCH Replacement Requests Catalog.
Photo Consent
By registering for this program, you are granting conference photographers, assigned by the Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference (VSPC), permission to photograph you and publish photos in VSPC publications, social media, and marketing materials. In addition, by attending or speaking at this event, you are granting VSPC permission to make your contact information available to our sponsors and exhibitors who may choose to market their products and services to you.

The Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference (VSPC) is affiliated with American Payroll Institute, Inc. (dba American Payroll Association) but is an autonomous and independent organization. American Payroll Institute, Inc. is not responsible for the liabilities, statements or activities of any of its affiliated chapters or chapter conferences.
